intelligent routing
pulse’s Intelligent Routing (IR) application offers intelligent in-depth and real-time management of routing tables based on least cost, quality of service, carrier commitment, jurisdictional parameters (LATA/OCN/NPA/NXX), customer and carrier profile, LRN, and a number of other, customizable variables.
The centralized command and control architecture allows carriers and service providers to cut costs by 20-30% by managing their entire network’s routing policy from a centralized location using the Intelligent Routing application. Carriers no longer need to translate and update rate tables on multiple switching devices.
The multi-protocol capability of Intelligent Routing supports various network elements including legacy SS7, wireless (GSM/3G/4G/WiMax/CDMA/W-CDMA), and NGN/IMS/LTE/IP/SIP/ENUM.

Add-on modules to the IR application include:
- Quality of Service—route by quality metrics such as answer seizure ratio (ASR), network efficiency ratio (NER), and average call duration (ACD)
- Wholesale Management—mitigate the risks of selling wholesale traffic by setting dollar, minute, customer, and/or trunk limitations on the network
- CDR Reconciliation—reconcile switch CDRs, vendor CDRs, and CDRs from pulseINP or other sources to identify inconsistencies in cost, duration, rounding schemes, or billing periods
- pulseInsight—compare the costs and/or savings of adding new carriers and rates to the network using this offline rate analyzer tool
