intelligent routing

The pulseIR (Intelligent Routing) application offers intelligent in-depth real-time management of routing tables based on least cost (LCR), quality (QoS), carrier commitment, jurisdictional parameters (LATA/OCN/NPA/NXX), customer and carrier profile, LRN, and a number of customizable variables.

The centralized command and control architecture of the pulseINP, allows carriers and service providers to manage the entire network routing policy from a central point using pulseIR. This negates the need to constantly translate and update rate tables on multiple switching devices. In addition, the multi-protocol capability of the platforms allows central routing across different network elements whether they are legacy SS7, wireless (GSM/3G/4G/WiMax/CDMA/W-CDMA) or NGN/IMS/LTE/IP/SIP/ENUM.

benefits

Maximize margins: By applying in-depth routing, coupled by the ability to add more carriers and manage routes effectively across the network in a centralized environment, allows carriers to typically cut costs by 20-30% on average.

Centralized command and control: Operators can instantaneously update rates and routes from pulseIR Manager (web-based GUI) in real-time across the entire network.

Network/vendor agnostic: This platform allows operators to manage wireline; wireless, IP, cable, and IMS/LTE network elements all at the same time using a central command point for application control. This is all achieved, regardless of the vendor, through a multi-protocol interface that supports SS7, SIGTRAN, SIP, ENUM and IMS/LTE through a standards-based approach.

Management reports: With access to real-time and detailed reports, this platform provides management with business intelligence to effectively negotiate better rates, optimize network efficiency, forecast future traffic trends and growth requirements, and assist in new product development.

other routing solutions

pulseInsight: A standalone offline business intelligence tool that can be used to model the effect of adding new carriers and/or routes/rates to the network.

Wholesale threshold control: Allows carriers and service providers to mitigate the risks associated with selling wholesale traffic by setting dollar, minute, customer or trunk limitations in the system.

CDR mediation: Pulse provides a tool that can reconcile switch CDRs, Vendor CDRs and CDRs from the pulseINP or other sources to identify inconsistencies in terms of cost, duration, rounding schemes or billing periods.
